On Oct 17, 2024, the National Bearing Engineering Technology Research Center Co., Ltd. under the ZWZ announced that it had successfully obtained a new patent called “Three-ring roller bearings specifically for papermaking machinery”. According to the announcement issued by the State Intellectual Property Office, the patent authorization number is CN 221838748 U and the application date is March 2024.
This patented technology focuses on improving the application performance of rolling bearings in papermaking equipment, especially the optimized design for the specific needs of the guide rollers of the paper machine dryer cylinder. The new bearing is composed of multiple components, including two inner rings, two sets of cages and corresponding rollers. The first inner ring is connected to the main shaft of the floating end, and the second inner ring is arranged around the first inner ring. The cleverly arranged pockets on the first and second cages ensure that the rollers installed can move freely, effectively coping with length changes caused by thermal expansion or mechanical stress. At the same time, this design can also adapt to angle deviations, further enhancing the stability and reliability of the overall structure and significantly increasing the service life.
This achievement marks another major breakthrough in technological innovation for ZWZ and provides the global papermaking industry with a more durable and efficient solution that helps improve production efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
