Bafétimbi Gomis has offered his services to Marseille

Swansea striker Bafétimbi Gomis holds regular phone conversations with Marseille manager Franck Passi and has offered his services to the Ligue 1 side on the basis of a possible loan, according to Foot Mercato.

Marseille are interested in Gomis as a potential replacement for the outgoing Michy Batshuayi, but the player’s excessive wage packet is a big turn off for Marseille President Vincent Labrune.

In order for a deal to work, Gomis would have to accept to cut his wages by 2.5 times.

Will both parties be able to reach an agreement?

Gomes rejected multiple offers from the Middle East in January, but it has become clear that he has fallen out of favour at Swansea.

In the meantime, the player has multiple concrete offers, including from Sunderland, according to L’Équipe.
