MIAMI, FL — A member of the Cincinnati Bengals who lives in Miami was arrested this weekend in what was reportedly his second brush with law enforcement in a little more than a month in south Florida.

Mark Walton, 21, was charged with misdemeanor battery on Friday, Feb. 15, after he and a woman scuffled over a cell phone she was using to record him and his vehicle blocking the entrance to a downtown Miami parking garage, according to USA Today, which reported both he and the woman fell during the fight.

Walton posted bond and was released on Saturday, Feb. 16, the newspaper reported.

The altercation occurred after the woman and her companion asked Walton to move his vehicle, according to CBS Miami. She began recording the incident on her cell phone, he tried to grab the cell phone and both reportedly ended up with scratches.

Prosecutors in the case revealed that the arrest came a little more than four weeks after the running back was charged with another offense, according to the Miami Herald.

Walton was charged on Wednesday, Jan. 16, with misdemeanor marijuana possession after he was pulled over for not wearing a seat belt in a red Jaguar SUV and police said a bag of marijuana was found on the floor, the Miami Herald reported.

According to the newspaper, his arrest this weekend involved a similar vehicle of a different color — it was reportedly his black Jaguar SUV that was blocking the entrance to his condo building at Brickell on the River.

Before being drafted for the Bengals in 2018, Walton grew up in Miami. He played for the University of Miami Hurricanes; and in high school, he was a star running back for the Booker T. Washington Tornadoes.
