Here are some news items coming out of the 7/27 edition of WWE Raw:

— John Cena won the “beat the clock” challenge and will face Randy Orton for the WWE title at Summerslam.

— Jamie Noble pinned local wrestler Alex Riley in a dark match that took place before Raw went on the air.

— During a commercial break, WWE to the crowd in Washington, D.C. that tickets for the 2009 Survivor Series will officially go on sale this Saturday. There will also be an online pre-sale that goes live at midnight.

— “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters made his return, facing MVP in a beat the clock match. Both men were counted out. This was Masters’ first WWE television apperance in almost 2 years. His first WWE run ended back on 11/8/07 after his second violation of WWE’s Substance Abuse and Drug Policy.
