PWInsider is reporting that Impact Wrestling officials have been at an impasse with Killer Kross, and the reason why may have to do with Kross reportedly “refusing to blade” during his First Blood match with Eddie Edwards at Slammiversary.

According to the report, Kross was concerned as there was no medical personnel backstage at the event, so there had been no pre-match testing. There was also apparently a scare at an independent wrestling event in Indiana one week before Slammiversary, and when Kross opted not to cut himself for the sake of the match, there was a rush of people trying to find fake blood for the spot.

Kross asked for his release earlier this year, allegedly seeking better financial compensation from IMPACT in the neighborhood of six figures, but Impact’s comeback was far, far below what he was asking for. He has not been booked since the pay-per-view despite being in town for recent TV tapings, and because he is being paid on a per-appearance basis, he’s also not being paid while remaining under contact.

It’s also been noted that there has reportedly been pressure to keep Kross off the upcoming AAA show at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater, as they are concerned he may be preparing to sue Impact Wrestling.
