Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton from the Smackdown brand and Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre from the Raw brand are currently being advertised for the upcoming Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.
Take this with a grain of salt, as these kinds of early advertisements are often just sent out as placeholders, based on current storylines, to sell tickets. Rollins dropped the Universal title to Brock Lesnar but is scheduled to face him again for the title at SummerSlam. Kingston, while not official, is expected to defend the WWE title against Orton at the event as well.
This year’s Hell in a Cell event will take place at the Golden Center in Sacramento, California on Sunday, October 6th. It will be the first WWE pay-per-view in the city since No Mercy in October 2016. That means the show will come just two days after the first Smackdown on FOX, which is rumored to also be a 20th Anniversary special. It’s also the same week that AEW is expected to debut on TNT.
