Dr. Tom Prichard Weighs In On Training Both Jon Moxley & Juice Robinson Ahead Of IWPG U.S. Title Fight

Jon Moxley returns to the ring tonight (early Wednesday morning in the U.S.) at the NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Finals for his first match since leaving WWE. He’ll step into the ring against Juice Robinson with the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship on the line.

The major thread leading up to their encounter has been that Moxley and Juice know each other from their developmental days in Florida Championship Wrestling, later rebranded as WWE NXT. While one went on to become a household name, world champion and a member of one of the biggest factions in history, the other left WWE and risked it all in a move to Japan, starting from the very bottom of the NJPW Dojo.

The eternally underrated wrestling training Dr. Tom Prichard, who trained both men during their early days in the WWE developmental system, weighed in on the upcoming championship match with the following statement:

“I coached both Juice Robinson & Jon Moxley in FCW years ago. Now they’ll face off for the NJPW US Title. I believe this is going to be a FIGHT! Kudos to you both for doing it ‘your way’. Never say die, never give up. Proud of you guys!”

Moxley battles Juice Robinson in the NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Finals on Wednesday, June 5th at 5:30AM ET streaming live on NJPW World.
