The Undisputed ERA member defeated Johnny Gargano in a contender for “Match of the Year” at the NXT TakeOver: XXV live special on the WWE Network.
With the win, Cole becomes the new NXT World Champion and as Mauro Ranallo pointed out on commentary at the conclusion of the broadcast, the second-ever NXT Grand Slam Champion in the history of the promotion.
