Delhi May Get Showered With Artificial Rain If Air Quality Does Not Improve In Next Few Days

Delhi’s pollution levels have hit so high that the life expectancy of the resident is getting reduced with each passing year. This year too, living in Delhi during peak air pollution hours was equivalent to smoking 20 cigarettes a day.

Now, that the national capital’s air pollution has consistently stayed very poor, the government is planning to induce artificial rain to wash away pollutants. Cloud seeding for artificial rain would be done once the meteorological conditions are stable, a senior official said.

He said plans are to induce rainfall this week, but if the meteorological conditions are not found suitable then it would be done next week.
