According to L’Équipe, who cite Canadian sources, Ivorian footballer Didier Drogba has informed MLS side Impact Montreal’s president of his decision to retire from professional football.
Drogba will join Guus Hiddink’s coaching staff at Chelsea imminently after reaching an agreement with Roman Abramovich.
The fee agreement between the Canadian side and Chelsea is the final piece of the puzzle, but that should not hold up this deal in any considerable way.
