Ligue 1 side FC Nantes are considering the possibility of lodging a loan offer for French central midfielder Abdoulaye Doucouré, according to our colleagues at Foot Mercato.

The former Rennes man has yet to establish himself at Watford, despite his first Premier League start coming this month.

Lorient attempted to broker a deal with the Hornets on transfer deadline day last summer, but ran out of time.

Now, Doucouré features on the shortlist of another Ligue 1 club, Nantes, who however are yet to make any considerable attempt to act on their interest.
