People magazine recently ran a piece on Hulk Hogan discussing his return to the WWE arena with his recent appearance on Monday Night RAW and reinstatement into the WWE Hall of Fame, as well as the leaked sex tape and racist scandal that led to his banishment in the first place.
On a potential return to the ring, 65-year-old Hogan was very clear that he is “too old to wrestle”, although he did claim he could still hang with the likes of John Cena and Vince McMahon, specifically — IF he rushed to the hospital immediately after the match.
“I’m too old to wrestle. I embarrassed myself enough out there by moving too slow, so I don’t want to get back in there again. I don’t think I could. I could probably wrestle somebody like John Cena or Vince McMahon, but as soon as I’d be done they’d be taking me straight to the hospital to fix something … the body’s too worn out for that.”

Hogan’s last major match was at Impact Wrestling’s 2011 Bound for Glory pay-per-view, where he faced Sting with Dixie Carter’s future as TNA President on the line. He also took part in two tag team matches in early January 2012 during Impact’s UK tour, teaming with Sting and James Storm against Bobby Roode, Kurt Angle and Bully Ray.
People did speak with the Hulkster about his time away from the wrestling world, as well as the reception he’s had — both positive and negative — from fans and wrestlers backstage alike since returning.
“People are all human and they make mistakes, so it’s about forgiving people and learning and growing. I’m definitely not in the same place I was 12 or 13 years ago, you know, when I said such stupid words, what came out of my head. That’s not who I am.”
“You get to a certain place in life where you have … I don’t know what you’d call it … a come-to-Jesus moment, where you finally get it, what this is all about. You realize how you treat people, and that helping and serving people are more important than anything that you could possibly be doing.”
