Kenny Omega will be sporting the AAA Mega-Championship the next time All Elite Wrestling fans see the EVP on AEW Dynamite after his victory at the 13th annual AAA Heroes Inmortales event in Mexico on Saturday night.
The AEW Executive Vice President (EVP) hit the One Winged Angel on Fenix of The Lucha Brothers to become the new AAA Mega Champion (Watch Video Here).
After the match, Fenix, who had his nose busted open during the match at one point, extended his hand to Omega for a handshake. Instead, Omega declined the handshake offer, opting to pose in his face with his newly won championship (View Photos Here) before heading to the back.
Whether or not the AAA Mega Championship will play a role in Omega’s ongoing program with Jon Moxley, which culminates with a match between the two at the AEW Full Gear PPV on November 9th, remains to be seen.
