According to Marca, Ligue 1 side Marseille are closing in on the signing of Spanish side Rayo Vallecano striker Miku.

The 30 year old striker is apparently surplus to requirements for the Spanish outfit because they are set to land two attackers in the form of Piti (Grenada) and Iturra (Udinese), which would leave Miku out of any first team action for good.

Current Marseille boss Michel managed Miku when he was at Getafe.

Miku is a Venezuelan international who has represented his country over 50 times.
