— There appears to have been three different rewrites of the Royal Rumble on Sunday, according to the latest Wrestling Observer Radio. While it was already indicated that Dolph Ziggler was scheduled as an opponent for Bobby Roode, another version had Adam Cole as his opponent.

— The reason that didn’t happen is because whoever was going to face Roode was going to lose via Glorious DDT in eight minutes and better minds prevailed suggesting that having Cole lose in such a fashion would not be a good idea.
