The New Year’s Eve 2018 edition of Raw will officially be taped in advance.

The Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan, which hosted SmackDown and 205 Live this week, announced last night that the New Year’s Eve episode of Raw will be taped at the venue on Friday, December 28 before airing on the USA Network on Monday, December 31.

Tickets for the Raw taping will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Eastern time on September 15. Ronda Rousey is advertised for the show.

With both holidays falling on a Monday, Raw aired live on Christmas last year and on New Year’s Day 2018. This coming holiday season presents a scenario where Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are on a Monday and Christmas and New Year’s Day are on a Tuesday, but WWE’s tentative touring schedule that was made public in March indicated that WWE was planning on taping those episodes of Raw and SmackDown in advance.
