The Railway Police Force (RPF) on Friday arrested a 26-year-old man who routinely masturbated in the empty ladies compartment and spread faeces on the seats of local trains starting from CSMT in the morning. Officials said the man had targeted at least 10 local trains in the past one month which delayed services along the Central line.

The accused, identified as Karjat resident Dinesh Laxman Duvre, allegedly told the RPF that he derived “pleasure from the acts”.

The investigation, which seemed headed nowhere for a long time, received a boost after the Duvre made the mistake of walking into one of the CR’s newest rakes on September 9.
