Samoa Joe made his return to WWE after missing several months due to an injury on the Raw right after WrestleMania, and he immediately made an impact by feuding with Roman Reigns. Joe has since been moved to Smackdown as part of the Superstar Shakeup, but he will still be facing Reigns at the Backlash pay-per-view this Sunday night. Wrestling Inc. has just noted that Joe was recently removed from all lineups and advertisements for an upcoming WWE live event in Madison Square Garden in the month of July. Joe had been scheduled to face Reigns once again on that show. WWE has not yet named a new opponent for Roman at the Madison Square Garden show.
It was originally reported earlier this year that independent wrestling standouts Keith Lee and WALTER would be signing with WWE to join the NXT roster in the month of May. Both wrestlers went on to deny these rumors, but they did compete at WWE’s Fan Axxess convention during WrestleMania weekend last month. Interestingly enough, Pro Wrestling Guerilla has just announced that Keith Lee will be wrestling his final matches for the promotion on May 25th. The fact that Lee recently lost the WWN title combined with the fact that he will be saying goodbye to PWG later this month has once again started rumors that Lee may be joining WWE very soon.

When Paige returned to WWE after missing over a year of action, she did not come by herself. The former Diva’s Champion brought along NXT Superstars Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville along with her. Paige served as a mentor for Rose and Deville as part of the Absolution stable, and she also recruited them to Smackdown as part of the Superstar Shakeup. However, it looks like Absolution has officially come to an end. Given that Paige is now the Smackdown General Manager, she quickly established that she is not picking favorites by informing Rose and Deville that Absolution is officially no more. With Absolution now dead, it looks like Mandy and Sonya now have no choice but to begin singles runs in WWE.
Consider this the DISSOLUTION of ABSOLUTION…
