Sheamus is currently in India doing promotional work for WWE. While in India this week, the WWE Superstar and RAW roster member spoke with SportsKeeda.com.
During the interview, Sheamus spoke about his recent partnership with “Best Of 7 Series” foe-turned tag-team partner Cesaro.
“I didn’t think we are a perfect pair at all! I thought we are the opposite of a perfect pair. We’re the most dysfunctional tag team ever. I think when we wrestle each other, we bring out the best. It’s always a competition with us. We hit hard. We literally try and beat each other up. We’re Europeans. We followed the same kind of path to get to America and WWE. So we have a different mindset, and we’ve sacrificed a lot more. I’ve been on top and he hasn’t. We just went out there to steal the show and we did. So yeah, now we’re a tag team for some reason but I’m trying to make it work. He irritates the hell out of me. And I think I irritate the hell out of him. So it’s going to be interesting to see what happens.”
When asked who were some of the people that helped him out early into his WWE career, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion mentioned Triple H and William Regal.
“Triple H was a big help to me. William Regal came on the road with me, when I first came up from FCW. And of course, Fit Finlay used to assist me on a daily basis as well. He’s not just a mentor but also a great friend.”
Regarding the possibility of UFC mega-star “The Notorious” Conor McGregor joining WWE one day, “The Celtic Warrior” offered the following response.
“As far as I know he’s still going to be fighting for a really long time. I mean there’s a Cruiserweight Division now, so maybe McGregor can join the Cruiserweight Division. But I really don’t know… it’s really up to him. He’s obviously got a lot of charisma, I don’t know… if Vince McMahon feels that there’s an opportunity to make money he’ll be here.”
