Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt have been engaged in a feud for quite a number of months now, and the feud saw Hardy pushed to his breaking point, leading to him emerging as “Woken” Matt Hardy. He and Wyatt have traded a few wins back and fourth in regular singles matches, but fans have been begging for a match similar to the “Final Deletion” match from the “Broken” Matt Hardy days in Impact Wrestling. WWE has now guaranteed that a match, dubbed the “Ultimate Deletion” will be taking place from the Hardy Compound, and it will also be the final match between Hardy and Wyatt. We now have an answer as to when the unique match will be taking place.

It was reported last week that WWE taped footage for the upcoming match from Hardy’s home in North Carolina. During Monday Night Raw from last night, it was confirmed that the Ultimate Deletion will be airing on next week’s edition of Raw. Wyatt accepted Hardy’s request to have the match and the two will indeed on the battlefield on Hardy’s home during the show next week. Not only will the match be taking place from the Hardy Compound for the first time since Matt Hardy revived his “Woken” gimmick, but it looks like a few familiar faces will be involved in the match as well. Fans of the original “Broken” gimmick in Impact Wrestling will be delighted to see the debut of Hardy’s family members.

A video package for the match that aired on Raw last night revealed that Hardy’s “platoon” will be introduced during the match. Reby Hardy, Senor Benjamin, King Maxel, Lord Wolfgang, Vanguard1, Skarsgard, and all of the classic “Broken Universe” characters were mentioned by Hardy during the video package hyping up the match next week. Raw General Manager appointed Shawn Bennett to serve as the referee for the match later during the show. It will be interesting to see how the old “Broken Universe” type of matches translates to the WWE audience, but we are all just going to have to wait until the Ultimate Deletion match finally arrives on Raw next week.
