During last night’s WWE NXT it was revealed that The Time Splitters will be reuniting to compete in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
Huge news was revealed at Full Sail last night as it was confirmed that none other than Alex Shelley will be teaming up with KUSHIDA for the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic this year.
When the field of teams was originally announced, KUSHIDA’s partner was left as a surprise, which has now been confirmed.
The popular tag team wrestled in New Japan Pro Wrestling for years, winning the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships once together, as well as winning the Super Jr. Tag Team Tournament.
Shelley is an incredibly well respected professional wrestler and is someone that the WWE Universe will be very excited to see compete.
It is currently unknown whether or not he has signed an official contract with the company, or if he’s just participating in this tournament. But either way, he will 100% be on the show to take on NXT UK team, Grizzled Young Veterans.

KUSHIDA himself commented on the announcement, sharing how excited he is to work with Ale within WWE.
