In Montichiari, Italy won with Argentina 3-0 (25-21 25-20 25-17). In second match Germany had not easy match against Kazakhstan, which ended with result 3-1 (23-25 25-23 25-19 25-17).

Pool’s host, Italy in every set achieved secure advantage to defend it. Italians scored 13 times more by spike (47-34). Three Italians achieved more than 10 points: Valentina Diouf (15), Carolina Costagrande (13) and captain, Martina Guiggi (12). From Argentina’s players 9 points got Lucia Fresco, Emilce Sosa and Georgina Pinedo.

In second match Germany overcame Kazakhstan, but match wasn’t easy especially in first two sets. Good job did captain and setter Korinna Ishimtseva. After second set Germany played more stable game and their experience took them advantage. Best scorer became opposite Margareta Kozuch with 20 points. From kazakhstan the best were Tatyana Mudritskaya and Sana Jarlagassova, both with 17 points.
