WWE FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN RESULTS (2/7): SAN JOSE, CA.

Here we go. This week’s show is up-and-running as following the weekly pre-show signature that airs, we jump right into a video package focusing on WWE Hall Of Famer Bill Goldberg, who has been advertised for tonight’s show.

The regular weekly video opener for SmackDown airs. Stay tuned if you’re ready for a good time.

After that, Michael Cole welcomes us to the show, quickly reminding fans that Goldberg will be here tonight. Corey Graves then points out that Daniel Bryan also returns tonight. Cole plugs the Fatal-4-Way match to determine No. 1 contender to Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s Title later in the show.

“The Dirt Sheet” With The Miz & John Morrison

The Miz’s music then hits inside the SAP Center as The Miz struts out to the top of the entrance stage where his music fades and he awaits being joined by his longtime pal and tag-team partner John Morrison.

The lights fade as the two enter the ring and take a seat on their Hollywood chairs before formally welcoming us to the latest installment of “The Dirt Sheet.”

The Miz talks about the Academy Awards this Sunday and their tag-title shot at WWE Super ShowDown. He then plugs their own movie/video. Morrison hypes it some more.

Miz then introduces us to “Once Upon A Time … On The Dirt Sheet.” A video trailer-style clip airs that shows parody comedy mocking other big movies and mixing in WWE action all-the-while.

After the video ends, The Miz questions if people think it is Oscar worthy. He says it’s definitely tag-team championship worthy. As the two continue to talk, they are interrupted by the booming vocals of The New Day’s Big E.

With that said, the WWE SmackDown Tag-Team Champions make their way out to the ring, as Big E. and Kofi come out wearing the titles and carrying tubs of popcorn. They have some fun mocking the “movie” that Miz and Morrison just aired.

The Usos then make their way out and have some fun of their own but their verbal moment on the mic doesn’t last long, as Dolph Ziggler’s music hits and out he comes with Robert Roode while Miz and Morrison attack The Usos from behind. On that note, we head to a commercial break.

The Usos vs. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode

When we return from commercial, our first bout of the evening inside the SAP Center in San Jose is officially underway. Michael Cole mentions some advertisers as the bell rings to make this one official.

Kicking things off for their respective teams ia Ziggler and Uso. Roode tags in and picks up where Ziggler left off until Uso starts firing away with chops to even things up.

Uso decks Roode with an uppercut and Ziggler, who runs in to help, eats one as well before Uso tags in his twin brother. The other Uso comes in and goes to work on Roode until Ziggler yanks his foot from the floor at ringside, turning the tables and giving the offensive momentum to Roode.

Roode tags Ziggler in and now the heel duo are firmly in control in this opening tag-team contest.

We return from a mid-match commercial break and the action is still in progress. Several minutes later, The Usos slowly start to show signs of life, as Ziggler and Roode are now forced to press the gas to keep on top of the isolated Uso twin.

Uso ends up blasting Ziggler and Roode with super kicks before making the tag. The fresh Uso comes off the top rope but lands on double knees from Ziggler to slow him down. Ziggler tags Roode in and the two go for a double-suplex.

Instead, Uso catches his brother on the way down, setting up the finisher, as both Usos hit double super kicks before Uso comes off the top rope with their finisher for the 1-2-3 and the victory.

Winners: The Usos
