WWE Issues Statement On Kane’s Injury Status

As noted, WWE ran an injury angle at Extreme Rules on Sunday, which saw The Bludgeon Brothers attack Kane before his Smackdown Tag Team Title match. We also noted that Kane is dealing with a legitimate injury at the moment, which is why WWE ran the angle and why Kane was limited in his PPV match.

WWE.com has subsequently issued the following on Kane’s injury status:

At WWE Extreme Rules, Kane suffered an injury at the hands of The Bludgeon Brothers. Despite returning to action to help his Team Hell No tag team partner Daniel Bryan, X-rays taken on The Devil’s Favorite Demon later revealed that he has suffered a broken ankle.
